you may not have a strong case, because you don't seem to have strong evidences against them. However, what you can negotiate is the termination status and a better severance with the assistance from your lawyer.
Typically, in the big companies, when you terminate your relationship with your employer, the HR keeps a record for your termination status and future employment eligibility, which can be "hire" or "no hire". They normally can't provide the termination status to your next employer, however, they can provide the "future employment eligibility" information. If it is "no hire", people can easily tell that you were fired. This will negatively impact your future employment.
They don't have performance issues documented against you. Besides, they offered you a severance package without having you sign the separation paper on the spot. You can insist for "WFR (workforce reduction)" instead of "involuntary termination". I think you may have a better chance with this approach.
