CFO
Location: China
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be a key member of the executive management team based in the mainland China. The role demands highly commercial financial leadership in support of the executive management team focused on value creation, enterprise excellence and shareholder return.
Organization Summary
This is a China-based foreign invested enterprise, primarily engaged in credit underwriting and enhancement services for small-to-medium sized companies. The Company intends to expand rapidly and start up other financial services businesses. The Company is sponsored by an international private equity firm with operations in China.
Reporting to: CEO and Board of Directors
Details of duties
Oversees all the accounting, reporting, and cash flow activities, in order to provide a continuous support of the management’s decision-making process.
Responsible for compiling the annual budget.
Prepare monthly actual results, with the resulting variance analysis.
Take a part in specific meetings with the CEO, aimed at identifying corrective actions and / or improvements to increase the Company’s economic performance.
Prepare and finalize periodically domestic and foreign accounting and reporting statements.
Responsible for banking negotiations and operations.
Responsible for monitoring, utilization and investment of funds.
Responsible for income tax matters including corporate tax and local tax bureau relations.
Responsible for a continuous communication link and information update to the shareholders.
Be involved with M&A activity, as well as new branch office selection and operations.
Job-related Essential competencies
1. Strong interpersonal skills and organization capability.
2. University degree with financial and accounting background and recognized accounting qualification.
3. Operational finance experience, ideally within a company providing credit underwriting service.
4. Ability to think strategically to design and implement large-scale organizational initiatives
5. Deep knowledge of financial, accounting and economic management tools used by a Company.
6. Deep knowledge of controlling tools and activities.
7. Good knowledge of management reporting activities.
8. Track record of leadership roles taking on increasing levels of responsibility.
9. Ability to coach people towards their full potential, providing candid feedback, setting high performance standard and giving them the freedom to act.
10. Good communication skills - Good command of written Chinese and English, and spoken Mandarin and English, Chinese Citizen is preferred.
11. A high standard of integrity and professionalism.
12. Willing to travel frequently to branch offices.
Job Related Preferable competencies
A MBA degree or a ACCA, CPA certificate is an advantage.
