Finally, I got to watch "Hustle and Flow" a couple of days ago. Its seemly notorious song "It's Hard Out Here for a Pimp" won a Oscar and admittingly it was a jaw-dropping moment for me when I saw its nomination and winning on TV  (I put its lyrics below).
Not sure about you, but the movie really got me thinking:
Does what we do define what we are? Are we defined by what we say and how we talk or by our actions and power of example or role model? When you are judgmental, are you also digging into your own soul? When you shout out for violation of right/privacy and others' bold disrespect, are you showing respect, to others, and to yourself in the mean while? The list goes on and on, before I give myself a headache, maybe I'd better chill out and do myself a nice facial [at home ]

But I’m a sucker for a good story, and Hustle and Flow has one to tell. It really is one of the best films of the year. If you avoid it because it’s too black for you, then you have bigger problems than I can help you with. "
