SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR
Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot application, network, and server level problems for all systems
• Build/configure/install new environments and servers for infrastructure and application use
• Work with technology teams to integrate other IGT products with Thin Client products
• Enhance the centralized management system for maintaining a large number of servers
• Maintain application servers (primarily UNIX, some Windows) on a daily basis
• Write scripts and tools to automate and enhance existing processes
• Provide input and expertise to engineering and release on process and systems management
• Participate in applications, infrastructure, disaster recovery and capacity planning
Requirements:
• 5+ years UNIX systems administration experience (Solaris/Redhat)
• Strong scripting skills – shell, Perl, Ruby, etc.
• Working knowledge and solid understanding of OSI network layers and TCP/IP
• Experience with LDAP, DNS, DHCP, NIS , NFS, NAS, Jumpstart, Kickstart, cfengine
• Experience working with 3-tiered architectures in J2EE hosted environments (Apache, Weblogic, Informix, Oracle, Tomcat) – Weblogic/Tomcat admin skill a huge plus
• Windows administration experience a plus
• Proven technical troubleshooting experience, with a drive and talent for solving hard problems
• Excellent communication and documentation skills in both English and Chinese
• Highly motivated and competent with decision-making ability to work without close supervision
IGT---Cloud System Administrator
Position Summary:
IGT is looking for an experienced cloud system administrator to join our global Customer Operations team that is responsible for insuring application availability across the enterprise. This position requires a balance of knowledge, ingenuity and ability to solve problems in a fast-pace environment.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain server infrastructure by providing system guidelines, troubleshooting and remediating problems, and where required provisioning new servers ;
• Maintain software distribution infrastructure;
• Product life-cycle management;
• Engineering and securing server;
• Implementation of policies and procedures to ensure consistency with company values and goals, industry best practices and regulatory requirements;
• Responsible for driving standardization of provisioning, server applications, server roles, monitoring, workflow, infrastructure performance testing, and software release practice
• Provide thought leadership with respect to all aspects of Windows and Linux Server infrastructure, performance management and technology operations
• Evaluate realistic infrastructure growth and performance forecasting based on operational trending analysis (Capacity Management/Planning)
• Design and maintain reliable, available and secure data center systems and storage
Qualifications:
• BA or BS degree or Technical Development with Systems Engineering certifications (eg: Red Hat and/or MCSE)
• Minimum of 4-5 years of hands-on Windows and Linux systems administration and production infrastructure engineering experience, preferably with experience in a high-transaction, high-availability 24x7 environment
• Proven ability to implement, manage and support highly scalable and high performance SaaS, PaaS infrastructures
• Experience in building and support monitoring infrastructure – Nagios, Cacti, etc..
• Experience in participating in incident management processes.
• Ability to work with scripting languages
• Knowledge of Cloud concepts, Web Services and APIs is highly desirable
• Creates a shared sense of direction and community among the team
• Collaborative with strong project ownership and follow-through ability
• Applogic or VM Control Center experience will be plus.
• Exposure to ISP Cloud Operations is highly desireable.
