Our client is a leading international property developer with a significant development pipeline across China including principle and secondary cities. With their aggressive expansion in 2010 they need a senior legal counsel.
Job Description
Reporting to legal director, you will lead a team of lawyers to deliver acquisition targets and legal compliance, with focus on:
·Land acquisition and local JV structuring
·Work with legal advisors on off-shore holdings
·Provide legal due-diligence and advisory to acquisitions teams on potential development opportunities.
·Work with overseas head-office to ensure legal compliance and risk mitigation.
·Manage local legal firms on acquisitions.
·Build China knowledge base for centralized team
The Successful Applicant
To qualify you must be:
·A qualified PRC lawyer with at least 15 years working experience
·Have significant experience in purchasing property, land acquisition or equity transaction in real estate investor or developer.
·Ideally have some overseas legal working experience
·Be comfortable drafting in English and Chinese and working with international legal teams.
·Have the leadership skills necessary to manage and build a support team
