–Responsible for architectural and detail design of the embedded control firmware for high-reliability fiber-optics and optoelectronic modules/sub-system controllers.
–Responsible for implementation, integration test and trouble-shooting of embedded controller firmware on DSP/FPGA/MCU platforms.
–Develop firmware test plan/scripts and perform firmware debugging/test of developed features.
–Provide effective firmware support for new product development and existing products sustaining.
Requirment:
The candidate shall hold a minimum Master’s degree in Computer or Electrical engineering from an accredited university. Candidate must have at least 5 years of experience in firmware engineering involving design, coding and test. The requirements for the position are:
–Proficiency in DSP (TI’s DSP desirable) firmware design and coding.
–Excellent C programming skills and experience working with multi-tasking real-time operating systems such as TI’s DSP BIOS (or equivalent).
–Strong experience coding and trouble-shooting complex multi-task, event-driven embedded controllers.
–3+ years of experience in fiber-optic and/or optoelectronic control firmware design, coding and test.
–Experience with Visual Basic/VB .Net or comparable platform for firmware testing is desired.
–Strong problem solving and analysis skills with excellent team working skills and energetic, flexible and positive attitude.
- Good verbal and written English and Mandarin skills required.
