Roles & Responsibilities:
STC is currently looking for an experienced PM leader to take a 20+ Program Management team to the next level. We are looking for a high achiever with a track record of success and multi-release Group Program Management. This is a senior level position for someone who can take on the challenge of building and growing a solid team of lead and senior PM’s.
The position will report directly to the STC General Manager and will be an integral part of the STC Senior Leadership team. The GPM will be expected to partner closely with Product Planning and Marketing to drive product strategy, roadmap and release planning. In addition the GPM will need to work closely with Development and Test leadership to continuously improve the STC engagement and engineering process.
For the right candidate this is a rare opportunity to combine International experience, a front line seat in our battle for Web Search in Asia and to have a deep working relationship with Product Planning, Marketing and Business Development.
Required Qualifications:
Success in this position will require a broad set of experiences and skills, ranging from excellence in core engineering, ability to deeply engagement with customers/partners and building a collaborative working relationship with development, test, product planning, partner PM organizations and marketing.
You should possess a strong technical background and an extremely good grasp of software engineering principles, exceptional problem solving and design skills, and a minimum of 10 years experience in delivering software solutions in a project management, program management or business analyst capacity. You should be self-motivated and self-directed and able to lead and motivate. A demonstrated ability to come up-to-speed quickly on a new technical domain is presumed. Excellent interpersonal communication skills, written communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment are very important. Knowledge and experiences in Internet search/services, machine learning, information retrieval, data mining, and distributed systems are a plus. Familiar and comfort in presenting to senior executives is a must. Chinese language skills are a strong plus. This position is located in Beijing, China.
