Abstract: The Chinese Wisdom Society and the Institute of Chinese Wisdom Studies started promoting research on Zhao Bichen (1860-1942) Life Wisdom Studies in 2013. The publication of Zhao’s book Xingming Fajue Mingzhi (Taoist Yoga translated by Luk Kuan Yu) was mentioned. How did Zhao’s book influence foreign culture? How was it related to the rise of internal alchemy movement in the United States in recent decades? This paper reviews some of the comments on the history of American Taoist Alchemy movement by Michael Winn, former American Qigong Association, to make a point that Zhao Bichen deserves to be regarded as the first mentor of American Internal Alchemy Movement.
