• Define the strategy for the product line : market positioning, product definition
• Define the Make or Buy strategy for the product line
• Define and implement go to market plan
• Manage the total life circle of the product line
• Define and Monitor the P&L of the Product Line:
o Liaise with all the units and activity functions (R&D, Sales and Supply Chain)of the activity to ensure the implementation of the actions as budgeted
o Liaise with the business functions to ensure proper support for the specific development of its proper Product line ( Project Management, HR ,Finance….)
o Analyse product requirement of the markets through customer meetings, conferences, market studies, return on experience,..
o Defined business “Value proposition” and identify gaps with current offering
o Build business cases to highlight the cost/benefits ratio of proposed changes
o Define functional specification, prices (value packages) and cost targets
• Support Sales organisation:
o Maintain tools and ensure they are consistently utilized: Pricing Database, Value base Pricing,…
o Provide product support for commercial documents (brochures,…) and participation to exhibition, customers presentations
• Monitor R&D Roadmap.
