Aeroports de Paris Says Passenger Spends Record on French Wine
Dec. 25 (Bloomberg) -- Aeroports de Paris, the owner of the French capital’s Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports, said a Chinese passenger spent a record 46,423 euros ($65,013) buying wine on Christmas Eve.
The passenger, bound for Beijing from Charles de Gaulle Airport, bought the following wines:
– Côtes-du-Rhône La Tache 1991
– Château Lafite Rothschild 1947
– Chateau Petrus 1986
– Romanée Conti 2002
– Vieux Château Certan 1982
– Château Palmer 1994 (two bottles)
– Château Margaux 1982
– Château Latour 1976
– Château Haut-Brion 1958
The previous record was set March 20, 2007, when another Chinese passenger spent 23,300 euros on French wine.
