1.British tradition inherited.
eg. Magna Carte--rules on citizen rights SINCE 1215!!!
Parliamentary system--help to defuse social tension and reach compromise.
British legal system--respect of law and judges.
2.Passionate Christians as the founders: smart/strong believers in democracy, despite all their personal shortcomings.
3.*more balanced social/political interest groups.
that's unique in America: almost all major constitutional clauses and future changes are outcomes of compromises.
No one group is strong enough to kill other group physically, so everyone has to sit down to negotiate out.
YOU CAN COPY THE CONSTITUTION LITERALLY, BUT YOU CAN NOT COPY THE SOCIAL/POLITICAL ENVIRONMENT FOR THAT CONSTITUTION.
US's constitution is actually the blueprint for many nation-country after WWI in Europe--with dismal outcomes.
4.God bless this country with 2 oceans on both sides and weak neighbors in North and South.
So when this country is still weak militarily, nobody can invade it (unlike the experience of Czec-Slovak Republic, too tiny to withstand foreign invasion).
5.Bible-based nation: its people knew that human beings are alway prune to their devil inside and we can only rely on a check-and-balance system, NOT a human leader, no matter how great he is. Everywhere, people trust more in system than in their gov or leaders.
In contrast with Americans, Chinese appear amazingly naive who always dream of a strong leader to lift them up, and who more often sink with this leader to endless disasters.....
Yes, God bless this country. I first thought it is a self-boast from unsophisticated average Joes, now I bow down to admit my ignorance of God's work.
