Especially the 1st one. Reasons:
a.The movements of their feet and splash of water were pretty sharp, which requires the shutter speed faster than1/60 S. It’s bright sun light. This should help faster shutter speed. Since the photo was not big, it’s very hard to see noise level, hence, it’s hard to judge ISO value
b.The guy with fin at the background was a half wave away. Why? Because the wave direction under Ms. Zhang’s feet was pulling towards sea, while the wave under fin guy’s feet was moving towards land. base on my experience, each shallow wave may be around 4 to 6 meters. So, half wave is about 2 to 3 meter. Since 2 objects were not in the same depth of view and the fin guy was not very blurring, thus, F value can not be too small.
base on these, I won’t believe the photographer is too far way. On the other side, it won’t be too close either since the size of fin guy comparing to 2 persons in front was not way off the chart. Thus, my guess will be around 12 to 18 meters away.
