No offense...But I'm not the one who was late.
Goldman indeed approached me twice afterward to apologize. I accepted the apology and still declined the job offer.
It is not about arrogance. A set of principle has served me well in these years:
1. Be arrogance to your superior, in other words, have the backbone to stand up to your boss
2. But be nice to your subordinate
3. Don't just look at a company's image or name sake, but find out if you like its culture and its people
4. Pay attention to small things when interviewing, look at the staff in their eyes to see if they are energized, determined, take pride on things they do
5. Do they respect each other and their time
6. Is your manager self secure enough to hire someone bigger (in terms of talent, drive, capability, and yes, arrogance) than him/herself (The russan doll story)

Arrogance is not a crime...If you know Jack Walsh, you will understand what I'm talking about. Jack's manager is self sure enough to hire him, who served GE very well. I guess you need to reconsider your interview approach.
