this was in a southern state just 2 years ago.
i got up early and walked outside the hotel. one older white guy walked up to me and said “good morning sir!”

i reached into my pocket for money as typically where i came from, this is often a start of a story how the poor guy got stuck in a place and need some gas money so if any one could spare anything…

but, just “good morning” back to him, he walked right up to my face, now i was getting nervous and getting ready to defend myself if i had to get into a physical encounter…

then, he passed me and walked straight further while did not forget to say “it is such a lovely day isn’t it?!”

“can’rt complain about that, can we!” i replied as watching him walking away

damn, i felt so ashamed myself: how did we develop such an atitude towards other human beings? after all, i have been away from teh hudson river for quite a while, this is…

then virtue of this story and the other two is: never judge a book by its cover!
